Around Manaslu & Larke-La pass trekking, leads you within world 8th highest Mt. Manaslu with Himal chuli and Bouddha Himal and range of peaks, located between Ganesh Himal towards east and Lamjung Himal and Annapurna Himalaya in the west.
A fabulous adventure Around Manaslu & Larke-La pass trekking, which is different to other areas of mainstream walking trails, as this region was recently re-opened in the later 1990’s where few adventurer and trekkers have ventured.
At present this marvelous journey around Manaslu & Larke-La pass trekking is getting more attention and slowly getting popular due to its varied scenery of mountains, hills and landscapes including its fascinating Buddhist culture which you can witness around the villages of Upper Manaslu on this fantastic walks.
Mt. Manaslu stands at 8,163 m / 26,781 ft high, first ascent to the summit by Japanese expedition in May 09th 1956 and frequently climbed every year, the word Manas comes from ancient Sanskrit word meaning mind and soul like the holy lake Manasrover in Tibet.
The local name for Manaslu is ‘Kutung’ derived from Tibetan origin as the people of high Manaslu valley with similar culture and custom of Tibetan which is just a mere distance from villages of Manaslu.
Starting this fabulous walks after taking an overland drive to Nepal Mid West at Gorkha district and then following raging Budi-Gandaki River right up to its near source around high Manaslu valley, where walk leads from warm paddy areas to cooler zone covered with lovely forested areas and within nice attractive villages of Jagat-Lo and Sama-Gaon.
Slowly our route follows scenic and high trail to Larke Phedi (bottom), with time for acclimatization and then heading higher up on top Larke-La pass, highest spot of the adventure above 5,106 m /16,849 ft high, and then downhill towards Manang areas for the drive to Kathmandu, after a grand exciting adventure of a life time experience on Around Manaslu & Larke-La Pass Trekking.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: On arrival in Kathmandu meet our staff for transfer to hotel
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, join in with other groups at the main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on treks-hotels with necessary information. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainmen

Day 02: Drive to Soti - Khola 730 m via Gorkha-Dhading and Arughat - 06 hrs.
Morning an interesting overland journey on Nepal’s most popular and busy highway, as drive leads past Kathmandu valley and then our route diverts from the main road to reach around Dhading and Gorkha districts to reach warmer sub-tropical areas at Arughat town. From here drive continues following Buri-Gandaki River to reach our first overnight stop in a small country village at Soti-Khola, a farm areas with couple of simple lodge for travelers.

Day 03: Trek to Machha-Khola 930m - 06 hrs
Starting our first day walk of the adventure, where walk leads following the raging Buri-Gandaki River upstream, into a gorge covered within dense forest as our route leads to a climb within cool shade of forested areas, after a good walk of six hours then reaching our overnight halt at Machha-Khola. Machha-Khola, a fair size village the name Maccha-Khola means a fish stream, a popular stream for fishing silver craps and other species of smaller fishes.

Day 04: Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 06 hrs
With enjoyable stop on this nice fishing village, morning walk follows Buri-GandakiRiver upstreamfor few hours, as our routeleads past Khorla Beshia small farm village and then on winding path to reach at Tatopanivillage, a place with natural“Hot Spring,” with time here for hot bathe before heading up to Jagatvillage. After a refreshingstop, walkcarries on past Dovanand Yaruphantvillages to reach at Jagatfor overnight stops, Jagata moderate size village with many shops and storesincluding fair number of simple good lodges to stay.

Day 05: Trek to Dyang 1,800 m - 06 hrs
With lovely morning walk from Jagattowards higher areas passing scattered farm villages with short climb and downhill to cross over a bridge to reach at Nagjetand Philim, a large village with spread-out farm houses. After Philimwalk through farm terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our overnight stop at Dyangvillage

Day 06: Trek to Ghap 2,160 m - 04 hrs
Starting morning walk from Dyang leads to cooler area where you can feel slow rise in altitude, on entering Himalayan alpine region, walk downhill to a river side to reach at Bihi Bazaar a small village near a river side. From here onwards encountering more villages of strong Tibetan culture, walk leads on gentle trail with few short ups and downs till Ghap village is reached for overnight stop.

Day 07: Trek to Lo-Gaon3,180 m - 06 hrs
From Ghap village with nice good walk following Burhi Gandaki River, then crossing this river through small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat and millets to reach at Numrung village with first close views of Mt. Manaslu North Face and adjoining peaks. Walk continues passing few villages of Banjham, Lhi and Sho, then as altitude gains with an hour up to Lo-Gaon for overnight stop in a nice cozy lodge

Day 08: Trek to Sama-Gaon3,530 m - 05 hrs
After Lo-Gaontree lines fades only for few short juniper bushes and some willow trees, walk leads on nice path with views of peaks and finally the day ends at Sama-Gaonfor overnight stop, this is a large mountain village located on route Manaslu base camp, Larke-la pass and to Tibet border

Day 09: Rest day at Sama-Gaon for acclimatization.

Day 10: Trek to Samdo3,860 m - 05 hrs
Today walk leads to last village of Manaslu area at Samdowhich lies close on route Tibet border, the villagers of this area have long history of trading with Tibet, the trade still continues as you can find many Chinese goods around the village shops and stores.

Day 11: Trek to Dharamsala/ Larke phedi 4,470 m - 04 hrs
A short day walk to Larke phedior Dharmasala, after a nice overnight at Samdovillage, morning walk leads towards more dry and barren country. As the altitude gains slowly with few short ups and downs then completing the morning walk at Larke phedi, means base of the hill or pass with afternoon free to relax or short walks.

Day 12: Cross Larke-la 5,135m and to Bimthang 3,720 m - 08 hrs
A Big Day and highlight of the adventure, starting early to reach the top of Larke-la pass at 5,135 m, a long climb with views of surrounding mountains Mt. Manaslu, Larkepeak, Bouddha Himal, Himal-Chuliand Peak 29. After a strenuous climb reaching the pass, our highest point of the trip marked with Buddhist prayer flags, offering super views of surrounding great giant peaks, after a short rest enjoying the views a long descend leads to Bimthangfor overnight stop a beautiful place surrounded with forest of tall rhododendron and pines trees

Day 13: Trek to Gho 2,560 m - 05 hrs
After a hard and tough walk of previous day, today an easy trek on downhill path most of the way to Gho, located in the midst of a lovely forested area, as our walk lead through woodlands of rhododendron, pines and oaks tree lines passing several farm shades to reach at Ghofor overnight stop.

Day 14: Trek to Dharapani 1,860 m - 06 hrs
From Gho within lovely forest surrounding, morning walk leads on downhill most of the way to Telje village by the Masrsyangdi River, after Tilje an hour climb to reach at Dharapani for overnight stop in a nice fine lodge. Dharapani a large village with many fine lodges located in Manang district and on popular Annapurna Circuit trekking trail.

Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Today is our last day of walks of this great adventure around Manaslu, Enjoying time around scenic high hills and mountains around Nepal North Mid West on remote and beautiful Manaslu high valley with splendid views, morning depart for Kathmandu with an interesting overland drive to Kathmandu after a grand time trekking around Manaslu.

Day 16: Depart for international flight home ward bound or to respective countries.
Last day in the country of high and beautiful Himalayas as per your international flight transfer to Kathmandu international airport for homeward bound or to next port of call after a wonderful and mesmerizing time on Around Manaslu & Larke-La pass trekking with great services of Tramping Himalaya Adventures.
