Trip Overview

Himlung Himal is 7126 Meters above sea level, and is Located in the Northern Annapurna Region of Nepal it's close to Tibet, It lies among those remote destinations between  the Annapurna and Mt. Manaslu regions, The first ascent to Himlung was made in 1992 by a Japanese expedition team setting up a route for other climbers, 

It's a perfect preliminary peak to climb before you plan to climb 8000 Meters of mountains, Himlung Himal also offers a classical experience of trekking through the Nar Phu and Manang Valleys. The thrilling adventure, It is an opportunity to assess one's endurance and strength to be in the Himalayas, 

The climb to Himlung Himal is not very demanding compared to other mountains 7000 meters but it surely requires caution and preparation. we will set up three more camps above Base Camp is set up at 4920 Meters. Camp 1 at 5434 Meters. Camp 2 at 5820 Meters and Camp 3 at 6220 Meters above sea level, Then crossing the steep crevasses. ridges and slopes. we finally summit and return back to Himlung Himal Base Camp and prepare to return back to Kathmandu,

Acclimatization is a crucial part of high-altitude expeditions. Climbers gradually ascend to higher altitudes to allow their bodies to adjust to reduced oxygen levels. The journey to the summit involves establishing various camps at different elevations.

Expedition teams often consist of climbers from different backgrounds and nationalities. The camaraderie and teamwork developed during the expedition can be a significant highlight for participants.

Reaching the summit of Himlung Himal is a notable achievement for mountaineers. Standing at the top of a high-altitude peak is a culmination of physical and mental preparation, as well as overcoming various challenges along the way.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 On arrival in Kathmandu meet our staff for transfer to Hotel

Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking, an interesting moderate country walks visiting as well exploring immense culture of age-old and heritage of Tamang ethnic tribe of hill people interwoven with Buddhism and ancient practice of Bon (pre Buddhism).

A wonderful walk of more than a week duration where you will get immersed within beautiful landscapes of rolling hills and mountains of Central Himalaya which includes Langtang and Ganesh Himal at close range in the harmony of Tamang colorful culture and traditions.

Starting with overland drive with exciting views into rural farm villages and town as ride leads past Kathmandu valley western suburb, heading into cooler hills to reach at Langtang Himal areas of Rasuwa district at Dhunche and Syabrubesi in the land of Tamang people where traditions similar to Tibetan way of life.

Day 2 Official Procedures And Briefing At The Department Of Tourism

Today is an official purpose to make necessary documents, permits, and briefing about the Expedition at the Department of Tourism, You may also go shopping for your important items for the Expedition,

Day 3 Drive to Besisahar 830 M, 7 hours drive

The day begins with breakfast, we will drive by Hiece/bus/car to Besisahar, the road witnessing the paddy fields and beautiful villages to reach Besisahar the main city of Lamjung district, It will take us about 7 Hours,

Day 4 Drive to Koto 2618 M, 5 Hours Drive

Besisahar to Koto is adventurous and rugged off-road, It will take about 6 hours to drive, Along the drive we will drive through beautiful villages and a few beautiful waterfalls as the farmlands and forests until we reach to Koto, where Annapurna Circuit trekking trail and Nar Phu Trekking Trail and distinguished,

Day 5 Rest Day for acclimatization at Koto, 2618 M,

Rest day for acclimatization at Koto, Short walk to visit Chame town which is headquarter of Manang District,

Day 6 Trek to Mehta 3558 M, 6 Hours Trek

We start our trek from Koto by crossing the river that leads to the Nar-phu valley and hiking up through dense, lush forests and crossing small villages and Dharamshala a place for pilgrims. Then passing through a narrow canyon leads us to wide waterfall which is mesmerizing. After a steep climb, we will finally reach Mehta, a place where people from Nar come over to stay during the winter.

Day 7 Trek to Phu Gaun 4200 M, 5 Hours Trek

It will be a wonderful day, witnessing the prayer flags, Crossing the rivers through suspension bridges, and colorful chortens which are the assets of Nar and Phu Villages, we will even need to cross small glacial streams, scenic gorges and Canyonlands finally leading to phu gate, overnight at Phu Gaun,

Day 9 Trek to Himlung Himal Base Camp 4850 M, 5 Hours Trek

Spent 2 nights at mesmerizing Phu Gaun, we slowly headed up towards to the Himlung Himal Base Camp, We will cross the Pangri Glacier through big boulders and walk up the moraine until we reach the Himlung Himal Base Camp at 4850 Meters, The base is  situated at the comfortable location with availability of water nearby and at the least risk of avalanches, Overnight Base Camp,

Day 10-23 Day 10 to Day 23 is Climbing priod, Camp-1 Camp-2 Camp 3 and Summit and back

The 14 days have been allocated for the rotation around the camps, the final summit push, and time to return to the Himlung Himal Base Camp, 

Base camp to Camp 1: From the Base Camp, we will have easy access to Camp 1 with 3 hours of trekking and trekking terrains with moraines and small valleys, Camp 1 is at an altitude of 5436 Meters, and our experienced staff with full board service, 

Camp 1 to Camp 2: Camp 2 also called the Glacier Camp is set up on the flatter glacier which is led by the twisted turns on the side of the glacier that we follow after a perched scree slope, it needs extra caution while climbing in this screen, 

Camp 2 to Camp 3: Camp 3 is at a convenient location at 6213 Meteres where there is very little risk of avalanches, As we continue on an icy escarpment up to the last point before the ridge, then we will reach Camp 3, 

 Camp 3 to Summit, Camp 3 to Summit is a long one, Snow slopes through 34 degrees steep slopes which gradually become less steep with few flat surfaces, The following crevasses get even steeper 37 degrees slope then crossing the lesser steep up to a flat surface leads us to the final slope before the summit,
