‘adventure from west to east of Langtang Himal range with sacred pond of Gosainkunda’
Langtang & Holy Gosainkund trekking, an adventure of great combinations where walk leads you from North West of Kathmandu valley and then trekking to an end at North East of the valley with ever present views of high Himalayan mountains of Langtang-Jugal-Ganesh as far to Manaslu peaks.
A great enjoyable adventure suitable for all types of interested walkers as altitude gains slowly where you will be acclimatized before heading to high areas and passes of Laurabina and Gosainkund of above 4,600 m offering spectacular panorama of dramatic landscapes and high mountains.
Langtang & Holy Gosainkund trekking, truly a journey with much exciting walks into remote isolated farm villages on high rolling hills with constant views of mountain scenery, where trek leads into enchanting forest full of high rhododendron-magnolia-birch-oaks and pine trees, in spring the whole hills turns magic when wild flowers are in full bloom.
First part of the adventure leads you to scenic and beautiful Langtang valley at Kyanjin Gompa enclosed within series of high snow peaks of Langtang Himal after an exciting drive from Kathmandu, and then our second part of the journey takes you into holy Gosainkund a sacred glacial pond of great religious importance.
Where a dip and a bathe in the holy Gosainkund cleanse the sins of hundreds life time which is a strong Hindu religion belief, after Gosainkund walk leads to highest point of the adventure crossing over
4,609 m and 15,100 ft high on top Gosainkund pass or East Laurabina-La.
Finally walk leads on high ridges and into beautiful forest to reach eastern suburb of Kathmandu valley at Chisapani offering tremendous panorama of mountains with striking sunrise and sunset views and then heading into eastern side of Kathmandu where our mesmerizing and wonderful adventure Langtang & Holy Gosainkund trekking concludes with short drive back at Kathmandu.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: On arrival in Kathmandu meet our staff for transfer to hotel
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, a quiet environment after getting refreshed join at main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on treks-hotels with necessary information. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainment.

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m North of Kathmandu via Dhunche town 1,950 - 06 hrs
Starting marvelous trek to Langtang valley, heading North West from Kathmandu taking an exciting overland drive past many farm villages and towns within low warmer valley of Trisuli Bazaar, and then towards cooler areas to reach at Dhunche, headquarter and administrative town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal. From here entering into Langtang National Park, our journey continues downhill on zig-zag winding road to reach at Syabrubesi village in a nice local lodge for overnight halt.

Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350 m - 06 hrs
From Syabrubesi village, our first day walk begins on good path for short while, after crossing a bridge with slow climb up the ridge past farm terraces entering into cool lovely woodland to reach at Riverside place and then with more ups through deep forest of tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks and pines with patch of bamboo groves to reach a open areas at Lama Hotel. A nice peaceful spot with number of lodges surrounded within green woodland and close to upper Trisuli River located in a gorge.

Day 04: Trek to Langtang village 3,310 m - 05 hrs
After a pleasant overnight stop at Lama Hotel, morning walk leads following the river upstream within a deep gorge covered within green forest, where sometimes rare and endangered Red Panda and other wildlife often seen on walks. As walk continues reaching a small lovely spot at Ghoretabela (means a horse stable), a place with few Tea-Houses and lodges with small Nepalese army camp serving as Langtang National park wardens. Here with possible lunch break, afternoon walk into deep alpine woods with gradual climb to reach at Langtang village for overnight stop, this area was badly affected by 2015 earthquake and avalanches slowly coming back to normal life, which you can witness around the village of Tamang people

Day 5 Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa
From Langtang village, today a short day walk of few hours to reach our main highlight and destination to Kyanjin Gompa, located within beautiful Langtang valley as walk progress with touch of altitude gain encountering prayer walls of Buddhism religion. After hours of morning walks where gorge opens into a wide scenic valley as tree lines disappears for smaller alpine shrubs and bushes overlooking views of Langtang Himal range of peaks as our walks leads at Kyanjin Gompa for lunch and overnight stop.

Day 06: Rest-Day for acclimatization and local excursion to best scenic view points.
At Kyanjin Gompa for rest and free day, Gompa means a monastery in earlier days a small monastery stood high near Kyanjin, which was completely destroyed by movement of glacier and withered by cold weather, at present with no trace of the small monastery only name exists as Kyanjin Gompa. Located within magnificent spot at scenic Langtang valley enclosed by array of peaks overlooking views of Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m), Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and Dorje Lakpa (6,980m) towards east. On this day with options of short hike and excursion for best panorama of mountain with a climb on top Tsego-Ri and Kyanjin Ri above 4,700 m with views of whole Langtang Himal and of Ganesh Himal. At Kyanjin visit its small cheese factory which was built in early 1970’s with support of Swiss technical assistance.

Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m - 06 hrs.
After a marvelous time at Kyajin around scenic Langtang valley, return journey with downhill walk back into forested area to reach at Lama Hotel before starting our next adventure towards holy Gosainkund.

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabru 2,118 -05 hours
From Lama Hotel morning walk on same route near a riverside at Bamboo small spot with few small Tea-House and lodges, as walk leads to a steep climb for few hours and then on winding gradual path to reach at Thulo Syabru for overnight halt, sometimes also called as Upper Syabru with houses on a row situated on a high ridge with an old monastery on top of the village.

Day 09: Trek to Sing Gompa (Chandanbari) 3,254 m - 05 hrs.
A beautiful and scenic morning walk, although leading to a climb within deep forested area rewards you with impressive views of Ganesh-Manaslu and Langtang Himal, as uphill walk ends reaching a high ridge within a summer pasture areas. After a refreshing stop walk continues into a pleasant trail within serene woodland to reach at Sing Gompa or Chandanbari (means a place with sandal-wood tree) for overnight stop a place with several good lodges and an old monastery, a small cheese processing factory nearby.

Day 10: Trek to Gosainkund 4,381m / 14,375 ft - 05 hrs.
Morning walk heading to our next highlight of the adventure, as climb leads over a hill and into Nice and cool forest with views of Langtang-Ganesh and Manaslu Himalaya, and then as climb leads higher on leaving tree lines behind for short alpine bush of rhododendron (azalea) and juniper. After few hours of climb reaching on top of a ridge at Laurabinaya with few teahouse and small lodges to shelter the pilgrims and trekkers, from here a short descend towards Bharab Kund (pond) and then climb up to overnight stop at holy areas of Gosainkund. A glacial pond, a Hindu belief is that it was created by Lord Shiva after consuming a deadly poison, to save the world and humans he drank the poison and to dilute it made the pond to quench and to wash the poison. Where a large religious fair is held once a year in the month of August in monsoon times as per Hindu Lunar calendar, thousand of Hindu and some Buddhist pilgrims pay visit for a holy dip and a prayer in the event known as Janai Purnima (Full Moon).

Day 11: Trek to Ghopte Odar 3,566m via Gosainkund / East Laurabina-La 4,609m - 06hrs
After a pleasant time at holy Gosainkund, walk leads on gradual path following the pond to its eastern end, and then climb leads to a ridge with two smaller glacial lake called Sarwastsi and Surya kund. From here climb high above to cross over Gosainkund / East Laurabina-La 4,609 m with fantastic views of surrounding landscapes and snow peaks, and then a steep descend to the base of the pass and back into forested areas as walk continues with few short and ups to reach at Ghopte Odar for overnight stop.

Day 12: Trek to Chisapani 2,195m via Gul Bhanjyang 2,125m - 06 hrs.
Journey continues on route Kathmandu eastern valley rim, as walk leads through many farm villages and terraced fields with ever present of beautiful landscapes and mountains views, walking towards Gul-Bhanjyang a nice Tamang farm villages and the down to Pati-Bhanjyang inhabited by mostly Hindu tribes of people Brahmin and Chettries. From this nice village uphill walk to reach a wide exposed hill with green meadows at Chisapani village with several nice lodges facing incredible panorama of central Himalaya with Langtang and Jugal Himal range and as far towards west views of Ganesh-Manaslu and Annapurna peaks. This beautiful spot offers stunning views of sunrise and sunset also over snow capped peaks

Day 13: Trek to Sundarijal -03 hrs with an hour drive to Kathmandu
Morning catching stunning sunrise views over chain of Himalayan peaks, and then having last breakfast of the trek, last day walk of the adventure leads downhill into serene woodland to reach at Sundarijal a small town, located North East of Kathmandu valley rim. From here an exciting short drive of hour to reach Kathmandu driving past nice villages and towns as journey brings you back at hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with time for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Day 14: Depart for international flight home ward bound or to respective countries
