‘a daring adventure on stunning highest above 6,000 m peaks on top beautiful Mt. Amadablam’
Mt. Amadablam Expeditions one of the striking peaks in all Himalayan range of mountains truly a fascinating high peak to climb of some great technical effort to reach it scenic summit top at above 6,814m and 22,355 ft high.Mt. Amadablam, one of the highest above 6,000 m peaks in Nepal Himalaya where the name of Sherpa and Tibetan origin and language which means Mother with Jewel Box, a charming peak to look at from South West Face where you can see an object of mass ice block hanging at the neck of the mountain that resembles like a box, hence the Amadablam with jewel box on mothers neck. Truly a magnificent peak to look at from all direction on the walks within scenic and high Khumbu area in the shade of Mt. Everest and exploring nice lovely Sherpa villages of great interest and visit to its old monasteries which is very impressive enriched with Buddhism religion and cultures. Tramping Himalaya Adventures will be climbed from the normal and original route using South West ridge like early mountaineers took by Mr. Ray Delaney with Joe Simpson in April 1990 since then it has been a popular and safe accessible route for the climb. Mt. Amadablam first climbed in 1961 by Anglo-American and New Zealand team, since then been climbed frequently using many different routes, the peak located high above Thyangboche, Pangboche and Dingboche village, where climb leads further up from Pangboche village which is nearest route to its base camp for the classic climb.
Starting our adventure to Mt. Amadablam Expeditions with full preparations at Kathmandu and then flying to Lukla town with its unique airstrip, where our walk begins past lovely farm villages following the Dudh Kosi for sometimes then uphill to famous colorful Namche Bazaar for rest and to explore its nice town village with many big stores and shops and other good facilities of banks, post office and Cyber Café as well. After Namche Bazaar with rest days heading towards our adventure reaching at beautiful and scenic Thyangboche Monastery offering superb panorama of mountains with Amadablam and Everest and then reaching the last Pangboche village before Amadablam base camp. At base camp with enough fifteen days to rest-practice and to recover strength and energy for the Big Climb to the summit of striking Amadablam summit with ever exciting views that circles you at the top and then descend safely back to reach Lukla for the flight to Kathmandu, after a most adventurous mountaineering experience on Mt. Amadablam Expeditions

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 On arrival in Kathmandu meet our staff for transfer to hotel
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, a quiet environment after getting refreshed join at main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on Amadablam expeditions, treks-hotels with necessary information. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainment.

Day 2 - 3 In Kathmandu preparation for Mt. Amadablam Expeditions.
Early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for super short flight to land at Lukla, the gateway to many adventures around Khumbu region, where walk starts on gradual winding path past several Sherpa farm villages with views of Kongde and Kusum-Khanguru to reach overnight stop at Phakding, located by the glacial Dudh Kosi Rivers.

Day 4 Fly to Lukla 2,820 m (30 mins flights) and trek to Phakding 2,640 m - 03 hrs.

Day 5 Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.
Today walk leads to Namche Bazaar gaining altitude as walk progress, morning walk starts following the river and crossing several times to reach at Monjo village near Sagarmatha National Park entrance, from here walking on river valley and gorge covered within nice woodland of tall rhododendron-pines and fir trees. After crossing a high last bridge with few hours climb to Namche Bazaar with stunning views of Everest-Lhotse and Kongde peaks. Namche Bazaar at 3440 m high an ideal place for rest day to acclimatize, the main town / village of Khumbu where colorful and exciting Saturday market takes place once a week.

Day 6 Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
Rest day for acclimatization before heading higher terrain, morning after breakfast with options for hike to Everest View Hotel or walk on top of Namche, where you can catch super landscapes scenery with Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam with series of high peaks, here enjoy visiting National Park Museum provides you with much information of Khumbu region, Sherpa history-culture-flora and fauna including detail on mountaineering

Day 7 Trek to Pangboche 3,900m via Thyangboche Monastery 3,867 m - 06 hrs
Enjoying pleasant time at Namche, morning walk leads to scenic and gradual walks overlooking Everest and other giant peaks, as our route leads downhill to Imjatse river at Phunki Tenga, a small place with few lodges an ideal spot for refreshing break or lunch stop. From the bottom with uphill walks into enchanting alpine forest to reach at Thyangboche Monastery offers grand panorama of mountains with Everest and Amadablam at close distance, here with time for tour in the monastery and witness monks and priest on prayer. Thyangboche also holds a colorful festival ‘Mani-Rimdu’ monks with mask dancing wading evil spirits which falls in the month of October as per Buddhist lunar calendar. Afternoon catching super views of high peaks with Everest, our route descends into forested areas reaching a metal bridge, from here a slow climb encountering mani (prayer) walls along the walks to Pangboche village for overnight halt before Amadablam base camp, this is a last Sherpa permanent village on route to Everest and Amadablam base camp.

Day 8 Trek to Amadablam base camp - 04 hrs
From Pangboche village with last overnight in lodge, from here on tents with camping facilities as morning walk leads to a steep descend at Imjatse River, and then crossing over a small wooden bridge with strenuous climb away from mainstream trekking trails. As walk continues overlooking grand views of Kangtenga, Tharmasarku with Taboche and Cholatse and getting close on the foot of majestic and towering Mt. Amadablam at base camp a wide grassy field to pitch our camps at Amadablam base camp.

Day 9 At Amadablam base camp preparation and acclimatization days
Another rest day for acclimatization on this high elevation a fine place for leisure hike and walks around where a climb up to a hill offers tremendous scenery of peaks. Enjoying scenic excursion with afternoon free to catch up with your dairy and relax marveling the views of Amadablam South West Face with other giant mountains.

Day 10 - 24 (15 days) Expeditions and ascent of Mt. Amadablam.
We have reserved maximum of 15 days for the climb to the summit of magnificent Mt. Amadablam, during 15 days where all climbers gets busy loading and dividing gears for the final ascent to the summit and back at base camp after the climb to the top. From base camp walk follows on grassy moraine ridge heading eastwards into a broad saddle with views of Mingbo-La and then towards northern direction and then climb to a rocky area through ridge of boulders beneath Pt.5, 705 which is the site for Camp I. From here climb on snow and Ice slope following a mix ground to the top of the highest hanging glacier, an ice crest leading to a nice position all the way to the summit of Amadablam rewards you with grand views of surrounding world highest peaks with Mt. Everest towards north, after a tough technical but exciting climb descend back safely to base camp using Advance Camp on downhill.

Day 25 At base camp to clear the campsite and garbage
Where all team-members should reach at Base Camp for final re-grouping, includes guide and staff, to assist packing equipments and checking each member health condition after the great climb of a lifetime experience. Start packing all climbing gears and disposing garbage in proper sites, where SPPC (Sagarmatha Pollution Control) will check the camp and depositing the litter to take away from the base camp to disposal sites or back to Kathmandu

Day 26 Trek to Thyangboche Monastery 3,867 m - 05 hrs
Morning clearing the last remaining tents and equipments with rubbish to carry or to hand over to SPCC (Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee) after loading gears on yaks and other beast of burden, then leave the base camp on easy downhill and uphill trail to Pangboche village. Having a refreshing rest at Pangboche, continue walk towards Thyangboche Monastery for overnight stop and back into green vegetation and tree lines.

Day 27 Trek to Namche Bazaar - 05 hrs
Walk on same route descend to Imjatse River at Phunki Tenga and climb for an hour to reach a small place at Kyanjinma, from here on pleasant wide winding path to Namche Bazaar for overnight stop after a pleasant scenic day walk

Day 28 Trek to Lukla - 07 hrs.
Morning with last day trek of this marvelous adventure leads on same scenic trail to Phakding on following Dudh Kosi River downstream, from here a pleasant walk with few short ups and down to Choplung village, where an hour climb brings you back at Lukla for lunch and overnight stop. In Lukla celebrate last night dinner among fellow climbers, guides and porters after a fantastic time on Mt. Amadablam Expeditions and trekking

Day 29 Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotels.
Morning transfer to Luka air terminal named Tenzing-Hillary airport, tribute to late legendry mountaineers the first to conquer Mt. Everest. As per the flight time board in small aircraft (Dornier or Twin Otter) a scenic 35 minutes flight brings you to hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.

Day 30 In Kathmandu contingency and free day for individual activities
A spare and contingency day in Kathmandu we have reserved two days in case of flight delay and cancellation at Lukla due to unavoidable conditions like unfavorable bad weather conditions, which is some part of the adventure being in Himalayan region. Well as per the plan with normal flight time, this day to be used for your own individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in for another exciting tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur for delightful sightseeing tour around world heritage sites and seeing more of Nepalese culture. Free day to relax .
