Detailed Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, a quiet environment after getting refreshed join at main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on Bhutan Cultural Festival Tour with necessary information includes some Nepal portion. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainment.

Morning after hearty breakfast depart from the hotel where our city and tour guide leads you for exciting guided sightseeing around Kathmandu. Although Kathmandu a metropolitan city still retains its ancient culture and traditional way of life with many world heritage sites to visit of great interest, tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square (old palace courtyard) old Syambhunath Stupa (famous land mark of Nepal and Kathmandu), Bouddhanath Stupa (Little Tibet) with holy Pashupatinath Temple of Hindu religion and then back to hotel with time for Bhutan tour preparations.

Morning as per flight time for Bhutan depart from the hotel for scenic one hour flight to land at Paro international airport of Bhutan, with panorama of mountain range during air borne. On reaching at Paro airport going though immigration and visa formalities, our native Bhutanese guide receives you and then transfer to hotel in Paro, with time for stroll around the nice market at Paro.

Tour begins after breakfast where our guide will take you for an hour climb to Bhutan’s famous old Taksang Monastery “The Tiger's Nest”. Actually a place for meditation and retreats of monks and priests, located in a overhanging rock cliff with views of Paro and mountains, from here short drive to 17 th centaury Ta-Dzong, later converted into the National Museum in 1967 with afternoon free for stroll around Paro market.

After breakfast a scenic short drive to Thimphu Bhutan capital, an interesting ride of two hours through lovely countryside dotted with farm villages of typical Buddhist culture villages. On reaching Thimphu transfer to respective hotels, a modern city of Bhutan the one and only city in this world without traffic lights, all the traffic controlled by traffic police with a whistle. After lunch our native guide will take you on a tour around Thimphu’s memorial stupas, indigenous hospital, where traditional medicine is still practiced and traditional painting school.

Morning after breakfast our guide take you to observe colorful Tshechu Festival of the capital Thimphu which was started by the 4 th Desi, Gyalse Tenzin Rabgay in 1867 AD the Tshechu consists of only a few dances being performed strictly by monks. These were the Zhanachham and the ZhanaNgachham (Dances of the 21 Black Hats), Durdag (Dance of the Lords of the Cremation Ground), and the Tung. After a nice and interesting moment afternoon free to explore the Bhutanese market area.

After a wonderful and exciting time at Thimphu drive to Bumthang which leads you to scenic countryside around Bhutan central east, here witness Bhutanese people with their traditional life as it was for since past centuries. Here again enjoy the famous Prakar Festival held annually in honor of natural spirit yielding good harvest.

These two days in Bhumtahg engrossed with colorful Prakar festival and interesting tour of Jakar Dzong, handloom shops, Tamzing Monastery, Kurjey temple, burning lake and Ura Valley/Ogyen Chholing Palace.

After a wonderful time in Bumthang area, morning drive to Thimphu on route tour around Punakha town, the earlier capital of Bhutan, and then reaching Thimphu for last overnight in Bhutan with time for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Depending upon flight time to Kathmandu or connecting with other Indian cities, our guide transfer you to Paro international airport for the flight back to Kathmandu, or flight to Delhi and respective destinations. For those flying back to Nepal on reaching Kathmandu airport our staff transfer you back to hotel.
