‘an adventure on top stunning Imja-Tse peak with scenic Gokyo valley and ever exciting Everest base camp’
Island Peak Trek & Climb an adventure on high Khumbu valley, where Tramping Himalaya Adventures offers you with a difference than other local trekking companies, as our journey will be much enjoyable and interesting with much time for practice climbing and to marvel the great scenery of mountains as well exploring local culture of Buddhism religion. Island Peak also called as Imjatse Himal as listed on NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), due to its location in the midst of Imjatse valley, looks like a huge island and hence named as Island. Island Peak / Imjatse Himal towers high above 6,160 m / 20,328 ft, we have used the grading system as PD + from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification System, which means ‘Per Difficule’ climb on snow-covered rocks and ice with glacier with some technical effort.
On the climb full climbing equipment required as well with good physical and sound health to join in this outmost adventure on Island Peak Trek & Climb, a great combination of walks with ups and downhill includes pleasant trekking into nice and lovely green alpine woodland in the shade of local Sherpa age-old custom and heritage. Starting our adventure with short scenic flight to Lukla and then heading high past nice villages of Phakding-Monjo to reach at famous colorful Namche bazaar with time here for acclimatization then he Our adventure continues heading over a high Tsho-la (Cho) to reach at Everest base camp within notorious massive Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers, and then climb up to Kalapatthar above 5,545 m high with sweeping panorama of giant mountains with Everest at close distance.
Our final adventure leads to our main goal and highlight at Island Peak base camp situated within scenic Imjatse valley where after much preparations and practice climb at Pangboche, getting ready for ultimate adventure on top Island Peak with full support of our expert guides. On the top surrounded by array of giant peaks with views of Everest and then heading safely back to base camp and on route to Lukla for short panoramic flight to Kathmandu after a great adventure of a lifetime experience on Island Peak Trek & Climb.
